    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Baby Room Leader required for a leading group of independent Montessori nurseries and preschools in West London. We are looking for passionate Baby Room Leader. The individual must be highly motivated and have a positive attitude towards working with children. You will be joining a vibrant 80 place nursery at Acton W3. This is a full time permanent role with 40 hours/week working with rotating early and late shifts between 730am to 630pm

    JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

      • Leading and working as part of a team to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently.
      • Caring for all children and ensuring their personal and hygiene needs are met daily.
      • Ensuring the babies are happy, settled and content.
      • Observing, assessing, and planning for the baby’s individual needs, ensuring their development is continuously monitored and create opportunities for children to progress.
      • Keeping up to date and informed of legislation in relation to early education and ensure that all paperwork is in keeping with the EYFS and Ofsted Requirements.
      • Understand and participate in the key person system.
      To ensure that your own key children learning journey/ profiles are up to date and maintained at the required quality level.
      • Work in partnership with parents/carers, recognising that parents are their children’s first educators, and encourage parental involvement in the nursery.
      • Assist and attend parents’ meetings and open days.
      • Help Maintain the safety and security of all children, employees and visitors to the Nursery.

    PERSON SPECIFICATION

      • Level 3 in Childcare & Education (or equivalent) • Good sound knowledge of the EYFS • Experience in a nursery setting as Room Leader, Acting or Deputy Room Leader or Senior EYP • First Aid trained (preferred) • Good written and communication skills .
